Default opening the hatch problem

With both the dash button and key fob, the hatch won't open without two tries, in the 2000 z28. Is there an adjustment to open it with one attempt?

It's designed that way. Get a copy of the owner's manual here: http://shbox.com/pdf/2000camaro.pdf

When I first got my 2000 I had to do it twice but I had to do a small lift on the hatch between the button presses. Press button twice it would not unlatch, Press button lift hatch, press button a second time then it would open. If that is the issue then a small adjustment on the rubber stops will fix the issue. 1/2 a turn fixed mine.
