Makes sense. Are those cl's similar to the ka's i got? they look a little different my ka's have a carbon fiber cone just like the hd ones in the 2.5 package. Everything else about them seems the same as the cl's though.
I was considering using the crossover that came with my ka's (crossover has outputs for both the tweeter and speaker and i would use just the speaker one since the tweeter is already crossed over by the monsoon amp), but i think this crossover cuts off at 100hz and the oem speakers go somewhat lower than that so i would be loosing midbass from the fronts, and i dont really want to worry about mounting it somewhere in the door. Is there any 2 ohm 80hz crossovers available anywhere? Can i just wire in a 1000uf cap at the positive lead for the speaker? which cap would i need exactly?

Oops, I didn't notice you got the Kee Audio versions of the CDT speakers. Couldn't find specs for those on the web site..
