Lightbulb Dash Lights Not Turning On

So this is my first post, and I have no idea what is going on. Basically, my gauges are not lighting up (this also includes the gear shift too) while I am driving (with the headlights on and off). I have recently installed a new head unit for my stereo and that works fine. I followed all the wiring installation diagrams with that and have had zero problems. But about a day after that, that is when I noticed that my dash lights were not illuminating. I checked the dim switch, but that it not the issue. I checked the fuse and it looked fine, but who knows. However, when I lock/unlock my car with the remote, my dash lights illuminate for a brief second to show that it has successfully locked or unlocked. Yet, they will not come on at all when I am driving. Is there any possible fix I am overlooking? Any information/guidance would be great. Thank you so much!

I unhooked the stereo and the dash lights still not turn on. I re-checked the wiring and I believe I did it correctly, all the wires match up. There is one wire thought that says "dash light/illumination" that is a solid orange wire that had no place to plug into my stereo. I even tried plugging that wire into the new stereo where "dimmer" is currently plugged into, but had no success with that either.
