I have to say, I have been wanting to do this for quite some time, and this is easily the most comprehensive write-up I have seen yet. I have a '97, which is a bit different for the teardown, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out how to take apart. My dash is clean and un-cracked, so I feel like I'm going to give myself a friggin' heart attack taking that thing apart!

DarlingReject, would you be able to tell me exactly what bulbs (Size and adapter type) you used/I should order for the following:

HVAC
Dash/gauge cluster
Dome light
Headlamp
Map lights

If you can't remember exactly which ones, I'm sure I can try elsewhere, but it would be nice hearing from the source!

Many thanks in advance

Don't quote me on this but I believe she used all the same bulbs as mine. You may try sending her a private message.

Will do! Once I get the lights in, I'll post pictures in my progress thread:

*ATTENTION!*

In the process of pulling out the cluster, I also pulled off the clear plastic/lexan cover (On purpose, to clean it). When I put the cover back on, I noticed the Speedometer needle hanging straight down (6 o'clock position). I put the needle back in the right position, but now it just sits on the arch where the steering column is, instead of going back to 0. Can anyone PLEASE help me get this set, as I would like to know if it will affect the speed reading (If I'm driving 45, I would like it to read 45 instead of 35 or 40)

ANYTHING WOULD BE HELPFUL, THANK YOU

Before putting everything back together, plug in the cluster and turn on your key to make sure the gauges all zero out.

If they don't level out, adjust accordingly to where they need to be set.

Meaning the needle will stick to wherever I set it during Idle? Also, will the needle go back to this position if I were to take out the cluster again in the future?

I swear, I'm going to find this Murphy guy and kick him in the *****
