o2 sensor? with the cut out you wouldnt need to do anything to the sensors, if you have one on the cats(s) (LS1) my buddy says to move the sensor before the cutout, and you should be fine, may take some customizing, or just use 02 sims.

Depends on the year of the car. If you have an OBDII car with both upstream and downstream sensors it will set a code complaining about the cat, and probably put the car in open loop.

 

hmmm its an 01 SS. and would that just make the Service Engine Soon light come on??

 

It will hurt your pocket book since you will get a ticket for excessive noise.

 

You can put O2 sensor simulators and they will keep the light off and the car will run OK and annoy everyone around. LOL

 

Hey guys I just bought a Camaro 94 Z28 and there is a cut pipe on the exhaust right after they pipe but its seal with a metal plate when i take that metal plate off it sound really loud you guys think that i could get pull over for that?

 

Ya you can get pulled over for that cause that cut-out is still bypassing the exhaust system. Don't get me wrong you can drive with it open but yes it is going to be loud and if your not carefull you will be noticed by the police. Just cruse is if you see a cop let of the gas if your in a standerd put it in a higher gear it will soften the sound and make you less noticable. Hell I've been driving around with just open headers for a few weeks now untill I get the cash for my x-pipe and I haven't been pulled over yet.......knock on wood
