Window will go Up but not Down

i changed both of mine also it is a pain but after you do one side the next one goes by way fast. i would suggest getting a friend to help. I replaced the whole window motor assembly i didnt try replacing just the motor.

Any tips on how to get the old window out and the new window in?

I've replaced the drivers side motor on my 97 twice now. But it from Autozone and it has a lifetime warranty.

These instructions from shbox were a life safer.

And the verdict is ********* the switch! Though I had already bought the motor and regulator and since the window has been super slow for the last year and since I already had the door taken apart I installed the new parts. It actually wasnt that bad of a job. Im no mechanic and im also a girl (though I think you guys know that) and it really only took me a couple of hours.
Window motor and regulator $90 on ebay
Window switch $20 from the Chevy dealership
Doing the work yourself and not having to pay labor.... priceless.
