i have a set of weld draglites and i tried to put them on my car and they all rub the calipers. the front wheels rub bad but the back ones i can get away with 1/4 inch spaces which i put on and worked fine. but i then put 3/4 inch spacers on the front with longer studs and the wheels spin fine after the are tightened down when the car is jacked up in the front but when i lower the car down they wont turn the car spins the back tires before going forward if any one knows a solution to this let me know thank you.

 

i found out my problem thanks anyway my emergency brake cable was stuck LOL

 

If that was the case why would you spin the rear tires when you tried to move, and why would the front tires not spin?

 

what the hell is going on here?

 

You need to grind off a little bit of the caliper to make Welds work on our cars.

 

I had the same problem with my 99. I just grinded down the front calipers.

yes thats exactly what i did i grinded off a little bit off each caliper unstead of using more spacers and making the wheels stick out to far thanks, and the back wheels would spin because the front ones were rubbing so bad they were locked up so in a sense it was like power braking.

 

to anwsere your question gmracer the emergency cable got stuck at the same time i had put the weld wheels on the front but even with the emergency brake stuck, and the front wheels locked up it would still spin the back wheels unstead of the car moving forward LOL

 

O i got ya so it was stuck just not as bad as the front wheels. I see now. I was just wondering how that worked out.
