Default windows wont work

hello, about a week ago,my drivers side window switch started to not want to roll down my window on the drivers side. well my boyfriend took it out and took the loose wire out and just left it out cuz he was gonna fix it. but i had to run somewhere in my car and while i was driving down the road my radio quit working and i smelled something burning like plastic. i looked and realized that the wire my boyfriend took out had touched another wire. ever since that day i havent been able to get my radio to play and my windows wont roll up or down and now its both windows! ive checked all the fuses and the window relays on the fuse box and theyre all good. so then i checked the fuse box itself where the relays plug in. one reads 12 volts and the other reads 0.0. my question is how can i fix this and what exactly is wrong and why wont my radio play? it will eject the cd but as far as power to make it play it i get nothing. if anyone could help me fix this problem i would greatly appreciate it. i live in texas and its starting to get cold and yucky outside and i hate the cold weather!!

Bad boyfriend, bad. lol...there is a fuse box under the hood and one in the car on the rivers side of the dash. Have you checked both places?

Yes, I have. And all fuses were good. I was thinking that maybe where the relay is for the drivers side is in the dash fuse box could have fried when the wires touched. Then again, if that was the case then why wont my radio work? Which I changed out my radio over the weekend, so I know its not my radio

What year/model like Craby asks? Then we can get you the wiring diagrams. Radio is definitely related. Something got fried. No window relays, only overloads. Someone else on here was having issues with his windows not working and the radio goingout as well, so they must share circuits somehow, but we need to know specifics about your car first.
