I looked at the cables and they do look pretty ****ed up. Could that have fried it or do I just need to fix them back up and it will hopefully start the car?

Since you have identified some damaged wiring, I'd start there with repairing it or replacing it if it is readily available pig-tails.

After you get the wiring sorted out, then see what the car is doing and go from there. But I would spend a few days of quality time under the hood tracing out the wiring loom and repairing any damage that I found before anything else.

Slow, tedious and laborious work, but it is something that you can do in the parking lot.

Even if I fix the wiring, will I still need to replace the CKS? Is it possible that it fried it?

Fix the wiring first then see how everything works. This sensor is mainly just a coil of wire that acts like a magnetic pickup and there is not much to fail inside of it.

Without fixing the wiring, you are only throwing good parts into a bad situation. You will never get it all sorted out with wiring trouble.

If you have repaired all of the cabling, now would be the time to see what codes are being set in the computer.
If you have not repaired all the cabling, then you need to take care of that first.

The cables insulation was peeling off, I wrapped tape around it for now so the wires dont touch. There isnt any breaks or any snapped in half...

Good sounds like that could have been the cause here. Check for other places that there may be damage and let us know how stuff is working.
