93 v6 auto recently replaced crankshaft position sensor and was reading somewhere that if you install a new crankshaft sensor that it must be hooked up to a scan tool to relearn,,is this true on the 93 obd1 models also?

 

i dont see anything in my book about it. its a magnetic based sensor. no memory. are u getting touble codes?

 

yes keep getting dtc 36,,i'll clear it and make sure its not there and just as soon as i start right up and scan its there,,and i have a service manual and have done everything to correct this,,pulled harness apart to check wires,,replaced ecm,,and like i said every sensor on this car has been changed,,i'm at a loss here,,i;m pretty good at diagnosing cars but this is something special here
