I got my new dash panel and still have the carpeted dash cover on it. One, to protect it and two, to cut down on the glare. It also helps keep the windshield clean by containing the fumes from pastic that causes windshields to get foggy on the inside.

 

I dont like the way mine fits on. It comes down to low and hides the cluster if you're tall. It doesnt fit well toward the glass either.
