Water in engine
#21
I've seen other posts that say the 3.4 intake and exhaust pushrods are different lengths. I didn't find that to be the case when I overhauled my 94. I checked my box of extra parts (from the screw job junkyard 3.4) and all the pushrods look to be the same length. Just to be sure I wasn't losing my mind I checked the parts manual pdf. It says that the 3.4 uses pushrod #476525, quantity 12.
The pdf also says that the 3.8, the LT1, and the LS1 each use different pushrods but the intake and exhaust are the same for a given engine. So I'm scratchng my head wondering where this pushrod length thing is coming from???

i have also heard that GM's DexCool eats through gaskets like no tomorrow and after about 150,000mi they start to take their tole on the intake gasketts, i had a 3.4 gm engine that the intake gasket went because of the orange DexCool. needless to say, if i ever see the orange, i flush it and switch it to yellow
