No i saw exhast coming out on the passenger side and ther is alot of noise over there also the passenger side exhaust is the one with the worst smoke coming out (may not mean anything) is ther a way i can really make sure that this is a head gasket without having to take the head itself off not scared of the job just goin to make for a long weekend if that is not it.

cylinder compression test and cooling system pressure test. there is a issue with the intake leaking into the motor or cylinder intake on a v6 but i cant remember if its the 3.4, i think its the 3.8, in any case when you take intake apart look for any way coolant could get in there. bad gaskets or cracked intake.

is that a question? the pushrod rockers are on a shaft for the 3.4 so the rockers will come of all together. no you do not take the valves off. pick up a shop manual before you start. factory service manual is best. this is the best deal i could find for em. 94 is a three book series.

have to losen the rockers that push the valves down to get the pushrods out? yes. like the book says keep track of all the valvetrain parts and where they come from. i used a cardboard box and poked holes in it for the pushrods and marked it so i knew where they went.

its the 3.8 there notorious for intake gaskets
the exhaust rods are slightly longer than the intake rods make sure you get them back in right or youll bend the sht out of them like i did and when your tightening the rockers back down tighten them untill they dont move spin the engine over a couple times and the go back and check i bet youll have some loose ones not to tight tho or the rods will bend (i couldnt find any specs on the torque of the rockers so this is the method i used about a week after i got the car back together i pulled the valve covers off checked all the rockers and pulled 6 out to check the rods all good)
