All depends on how much $$$$$$$$$$$$ you have and what exactly your looking for. Daily driver or track car? Or just enough to get you introuble with out breaking down every day like Spartan.

As far as the motor, I'd suggest going with an LT1 either way. It seems to me that crate motors are pretty expensive for what you get, especially because they advertise crank HP and not wheel HP, for $5000 you can easily get more HP out of an LT1 than a $5000 crate motor, plus if you go with an LT1 you know it'll all fit. I'd suggest either rebuilding the block that you have from the bottom up, or getting a wrecked LT1 block and building off that if you have the money.
