Default TPI on a Built motor and other build questions

Hello all let me start off by saying i am new to the site. Some of you might remember me from my first post back in the winter about my new 1986 Camaro IROC Z with the 327 in it. I have been trying to sell it since then locally but have not had much luck. So now my game plan is to sell the car on ebay. I currently have a built 355 motor ready to be dropped in. Now my question is. Is it worth putting a TPI intake with larger injectors on a this built motor. It has semi high compression set at 11:1 with somewhere around a 500 lift cam (cant remember off hand). Will it be hinder my horsepower over keeping it carbed? I have a holly 750 with an edelbrock intake manifold on it. Also do you guys think it would be worth my time and money in the long run in upping the resale value of the car? Just kinda testing the waters here. I would like to turn some kind of a profit on this car and from what i have learned is that all the 3rd gen guys go crazy over the TPI cars. I am also planning on swapping in a t56 Tranny also because the manuals seem to be quite rare. So if anyone ends up reading this throw in your two cents!

Thanks alot
Eric

The TPI intake is good on torque, but falls short on high end power due to the long and restrictive intake runners. ACCEL and SLP used to sell high flow runners, but I don't know if they still are. If you do go to TPI with a modded engine, the ECM will have to be tuned, just using larger injectors are not going to do the trick.

I don't think you'll turn much of a profit regardless of motor. I wonder why you'd go through the hassle of swapping a motor if you are just going to sell....look at craigslist and you'll see what I mean

the $1500 you will need to have a properly running tpi setup will far outweigh what you will be able to sell it for. you will make more hp with a carb, and more people are looking for a car that is carb instead of efi. most people dont understand efi

whattya mean "worth it" do you build for resale value OR for the love of the cars?? here in tn we have all manner of hack jobs that usually end up over at pull a part.really its sad to see ANY 3rd gen camaro subjected to what we purists lovingly call "mix n match" building.
