Default Vibrations after engine swap 96 3.8L A4

So swapped in a used engine(from a 2000 camaro) with new motor mounts, after i got everything hooked up, no leaks etc it vibrates when idle/ stopped, basically goes away as your driving. No real difference between “in gear” neutral or park. I’m suspecting transmission mount, maybe driveline u joints, but would like some opinions on this before I go spend more money:-)
thanks in advance!

double, tripple check your plug wires to make sure you got them in the right places, easy to get crossed.

will do!, if that’s not the culprit, do I check coil packs? Plugs are new coils and wires are a lil old. But if ya have any other ideas let me know

pick up a spark checker at the parts store, that should let you know if you have a weak coil. if the wires are old it would be a good idea to replace. once they get past 5 years its getting about time to start looking at them. I wait for a dark night close up the garage if I have to to get it really dark, open the hood and start it and have a look in the area of the wires and plugs, shut it off right away if in enclosed area, open it up. if you getting a light show they is bad. first time I tried that after thinking of it I was surprised to see all my wires was lighting up.

I may still do that but, long story short, this is my sons car-(I’ve got a Z28) so he’s done a majority of the work with guidance from me...well he never bolted down the trans mount...now that’s done basically all vibrations are gone. But I may still check out the wires/coils to play it safe
