Default Usually get a weird smell from exhuast

Alright so i noticed when I bought the car last week while idiling it smelled a bit like raw burning fuel kinda coming from exhaust area but no smoke or anything. So I just wanted to ask what it could be because I know if it was a blown head gasket then there would be smoke coming out, or hot motor temps and lack of power usually which I have none of the symptoms, so what could be causing this as I noticed it like 2-3 times already whenever just idiling!

^^^ and have it scanned for trouble codes. let us know what code numbers come up if any. test fuel pressure, you can rent or borrow a test gauge at most parts stores. low or high pressure can cause rich condition. check 02 sensors for fouling, failing 02 sensor can give a false reading if fouled. usually a lean reading that causes the computer to add more fuel. which fouls it more making the reading even more lean when in fact its a rich condition. anyways theres a few things to look at.
