Ugh Fuel Pump

Ugh Fuel Pump
I think the fuel pump just went out. Wife was a block away from home and the engine just died. I didn't have to hear too much complaining about her having to walk home.
Good news is the car with start when sprayed with starting fluid, but no noise is made from the fuel pump when the ignition is turned on.
Dropping the fuel tank looks like a fun project. Hey, just maybe I will look at getting my limited slip diff swap at the same time.

Up and Running
I went with the trap door method. I picked up a 255LPH fuel pump and followed the steps on the trap door method. Process went fairly smooth.
Thanks again for the CF How To post.

Additional Info.
The only additional picture was after I cut the trap door was to realize I needed to cut the door the full size 11"X 7". This would allow you to get to the line connections and pull the pump out.
The link below walks through the process of replacing the actual pump once the Fuel assembly has been removed from the tank.

Does your fuel supply line have a union at the top of the tank? I tried the trap door method on my 91 (yes I know it can be different), but that car has solid one piece lines all the way to the bottom left of the tank. So I ended up dropping the tank since I didn't want to cut any of the steel lines.
