Turn signal and brake problem
Hello, i just bought a 95 camaro with a v6. Im having trouble, trouble shooting a problem with my tail lights. My right turn signal and brake light work ffine. My left side, when i turn my running lights on all the lights come on. When i turn my turn signal on, the front one comes on and the light on the dash comes on but it doesnt flash, and the back one doesnt come on at all. When i hit my nrakes the right one works but the left doesnt. I have changed the bulbs and checked the fuses nut still no luck. Does anyone jave any suggestions?

Craby is right, you need to first determine if the there is power and a ground at the turn signal. Use a meter or test light and check between the yellow and black wires at the socket while the turn signal switch is on. If no power is found, check again but this time between the yellow wire and a metal body ground. If still no power, the problem is most likely a broken wire between the turn signal switch and rear light or the contacts in the turn signal switch are bad and the switch will have to be replaced. To check the yellow wire for being broken, pull apart the connector of the switch under the column. Find the yellow wire in the connector half going out to the lights and use a meter set on ohms to check if you have continuity between a body ground and the yellow wire. If you have continuity, remove the bulb from the rear light and check again. No continuity this time would indicate the wire is good and the problem is probably in the switch. I've attached a schematic for the lights that may help you follow how the circuit should work.
