Default Trans Removel

I have my whole driveline pulled on my 96 V6 5 speed. I am trying to get the transmission apart from the engine. I have the cover off and all the bolts I can see off I ampulling the trans and bell housing all at once. Its about 3/4" apart from the engineand it just stops, It will not come any farther. At that distance it clears the dowels and wiggles real easy. Any clues?

I read thru this and I can not see what I am missing. No mention of a pivot bolt or removing the slave.

No bolt on this one. Just me being tired. I tried it tonight and it came right apart. Seems there was a build up of dust/rust/crude on the input shaft on the back side of the clutch plate. This made it tuff for the input shaft to slide thru the clutch.

All is well.

when i did my t56 it took alot to get it back in but if you seperate the bell houseing and trans before install it will be easier to get back together
