motor removel

Question motor removel

whats the easiest way to remove an lt1 from 96 z28.
oil pump went to hell and i picked up another lt1 for it and i am going to rebuild the one i am pulling out and put the other one in so i can still drive it.
is it easyer to remove it out the top or bottom
