Tranny Slipping or Engine Missing?

It's been a while since I posted, but here lately I came across a problem. I am not too sure how to describe it, but I'll try my best.
Before I begin, this only happens when I am in over drive. Not really noticeable in "drive"
When I am going up hills, with the pedal half way down, the car kind of "jerks" like it's missing or something. Kind of like it's losing power. It doesn't really do it on flat roads or going down hill. (Not that I noticed at least.)
And another thing I noticed, when I take off to pass someone, the car kind of starts out "rough" feeling with a small "jerk" but becomes fine right after.
Is this a sign of something bad? I never experienced a tranny slipping, but had one go out on one of my old cars. Not fun.
Any ideas? I was hoping something simple as bad plug/wire. Clogged fuel pump?

Sounds to me like your motor is starving for fuel. I would start by doing a fuel pressure check. If it shows that your pressure is low, you will need to look into a new fuel pump or FPR. Good luck

You should always start these types of posts with Year and motor/tranny. Some cars have common issues it will also tell us what computer system we are talking about. When you compair a 93 with 02 they are almost completely different systems.
What you describe sounds like a what we call a stumble (engine related). But depending on the year and tranny it could have something to do with the torque converter clutch not disengaging smothly, Of course if it is a stick you do not a torque converter.
