Something missing from my engine? ('83 Z28 TBI)
Ok so I just got my Camaro 2 days ago and I was out cleaning it. Well a fellow Camaro owner walked by and saw the car, asked to see it, and I showed him. Upon inspecting the engine bay, he told me that the car is missing a hose. Now being just a kid and all, I didn't really notice it, but I can't tell too well since I don't know much about it. I've included a picture and highlighted them. Can someone please help me out?
Now he says that theres a hose from the port on the bottom, and it goes into the into the other port. I can't find another car around here to look at since they're nearly impossible to locate in my area. I'm hoping someone here can let me know.
Also now that I'm typing this up I figured I'd let you know that the blower motor for my heater/air conditioner is either disconnected or disabled. When you turn the low to high dial, nothing goes on. Is this related?

Look under the air cleaner horn for a corresponding inlet fitting. That's a heat riser that would have a flexible hose (either foil or cardboard) to supply warm manifold air to the air cleaner during cold engine running. The air cleaner should have a flapper valve to then divert incoming air to the horn, and not the manifold heat, once it heats up. It's up to you if you want to hook it up, if you have pre-heating issues in the winter. You don't really need it for summer driving. And it has nothing to do with your heater blower motor not working, that's a separate issue.
