Default Too lazy...heading to dealership

They are the only folks around who can re-flash the computer. Other local shops can only read, but not flash. 95 Z28 LT1

I give up on trying plugs 2,4,6,8 and the wires. I'm having the dealer do it (they are the cheapest believe it or not)Also, the car smells like it's running rich so i want them to test and adjust the A/F. I also want them to adjust when the fans turn on. I just put in a 180 thermostat when i replaced the water pump and optispark.

Since it will be there, what other items should i have them adjust on the car? I use an X3 on my stang and can do adjustments myself but on the Z28, since I'm paying for a re-flash, are there any other items that should be set???

thanks in advance

thanks, it all comes down to value. Since i want them to re-flash the computer, setting the fans and A/F, it's worth it to me to pay them the quoted 1 1/2 hours to replace the 4 plugs and wires. it comes to $120 and to me, that is a value as opposed to removing items to get to them. This is a toy that I'm slowly updating and if $120 would break me, then i wouldn't pay them. I'm doing everything else, I just don't want the hassle and again, i want them to set the A/F and it will be there already.

Do you have a bunch of mods? I would try PCMforless for tuning your car. I have heard alot of good things about them.

Why thank you 02. As for mods, it's a 95 Z28. The LT1 was rebuilt but no head or cam change, it's oem.

So far, I've changed the optispark, cables and waterpump, put in a 180 thermostat as the prior owner had no thermostat. i added a CAI, and the MAgnaflow cat back is on the garage floor and is going on this weekend. Now, a custom tune like pcmforless that you just showed me is of interest. I'm not after a fire breathing car. This car has plenty of power especially considering the traffic and all the old people on the road here in FL. I did pick up some black Z06 rims and have 275 40 17's all around. I've replaced all the pads and rotors and painted the calipers red (the car is red) I painted the waterpump chevy orange and will probably chrome the alternator and valve cover and add some braided hoses.

I'm trying to determine what to do for appearance mods. This is to be a long term project and not my daily driver.

If I decide that I want to head toward 400whp, then this isn't the car that I would do that. I'll need something with more room in the engine bay and easier access. Hey, I'm taking a 14 year old car and refreshing it so it runs and looks better. I don't know if I'll take this on long highway trips. I may consider a gear change and go with a head snapping gear ratio if i just stick around town.
