Default Hood release mod, because I'm lazy.

After four days off I got bored and took a portion of a broken clutch cable from my motorcycle and made a hood latch release I can get to without getting on one knee.

Probably been done before, just my twist.

I removed the middle mounting screw for the lower grill, and drilled one hole in the support behind the bumper for the cable to run through.

I attached the other end to the hood latch lever. (Didn't see that bolt missing until now.)

And now I can I can just pull the **** and unlatch the hood.

And unless you know what you're looking at you may not see it.

Yep I'm lazy and have time to do stuff like this.......

T/As are like that stock, and 78s come strait through the top grill. I kind of like yours better, but maybe with the t handle the bird has.

The early 2nd gens already have a little "hook" handle under the bumper. Always liked the way they work better than later 2nd gens.

I'm looking for a small "T" handle, good idea!
