ok the one peice thermostat doesnt fit on my 02 ls1 waterpump i tried two different makes nothin , i pulled my old one off and it was a two piece= one thermostat and one waterneck what goin on any ideas greatly appreciated cause i got no clue.

 

go to autozone or any auto store and tell them your make and model and theyll get you the right one, and it'll fit in there like a glove, there should be no reason to force one back in

 

ya tried all those napa shucks autzone the dealership they all come up with that one piece that dont fit ya think my water pump might be different

 

is it upside down ?

 

no the one-piece only goes in one way and it seems that if the hole it goes into was bored out on the pump then it would go in

 

are you sure you are using an oem part ?

 

you sure your puttin it into the thermostat housing?

 

yeah make sure you put it in the right hole

 

lol yeah, you always gotta be careful about what hole you stick it in

 

I just changed the termostat on my 98 camaro. it needed a rubber ring around it in order to fit.I payed $1.84 for it and that includes tax.
