Test for fuel and spark first. Which one don't youhave? Possible fuel pump gave out. Can you hear the fuel pump kick on for a few seconds when key is in the ON position?

Before you spend the time and moneyon a fuel pump, did you check your fuel pump relay? If it is indeed the fuel pump and you can get an oem for a resonable price the I'd say go for it but if your a penny pincher like me then aftermarkets are fine.

 

where is that at

 

on my 88 it's drivers side firewall just above the brake booster. There are 3 of them (fuel pump,cooling fan, and a/c). I think it's the one closest to the wiper motor but not positive.

ok so it starts now it was the control module now it just revs up and down any ideas on what that is could it be an EGR valve
