Default More Compression = More power?

Do you think if i put high-compression pistons in my 3.1l i could get more power? I know it would require better gas but that's not a factor, i always gas on 93. I know the ratio now is 8.9:1, but what if i raised it to 10.5:1 or 11:1?

I thinks some of the guys over on 60degv6 have done some pretty wild upgrades including increased compression with better heads. The've put out some pretty decent numbers on the dyno.

The higher compression will help some, but nothing to write home about. To get power out of the 3.1 or 3.4 engines you need to use the heads from W car engine, like from a 3400 or 3500 engine.
