What would be a fair price to pay for a 98-02 T56 tranny?
I am looking for one and seen a few for sale but the prices range is wide.
Anything I would buy, I would probably send out for a rebuild just to start out with new synchros and seals.
I don't need the hydraulics or clutch parts, just the tranny.
I could buy a rebuilt but don't have a core. So I figured it is better to come up with a used one and get it rebuilt.

 

I have seen used ones range anywhere from 500 up to around 1500, just depends what type of shape they are in. I would call some salvage yards and see what they can do.
Also, I had mine rebuilt by intermountain transmission for just shy of 1000.
