Don't know anything about WIX but I heard Fram filters suck... Is there a difference about the "microguard"???

I still liked mine though, but I have another "release" for the itchy right foot.

See, I always thought the 3rd gens performed better than the 4th gens or at least that's what I was told when I bought mine, but still just liked them better and wanted a newer one. Now I'm confuzed lol... So what did you have then and what do you have now??

3rd gens performing better than 4th gens? 3rd gens were the worst of any generation for performance with their 200hp v8's. They handle decently well but that's it. The LT1 blew the 3rd gen out of the water, and then came the LS1, which is another significant improvement over the LT1, and miles head of any 3rd gen.

My 91 was a 305 RS. I think it may have been quicker than my 94 3.4 was, but I don't think it would have done well against a 3.8 4th gen. What do I have now? Look at my sig.

82 was third gen. Lighter makes it accelerate quicker and a little better for fuel mileage. '82 weighed in at a hair over 3000lbs, compared to '67 which weighed around 2900, and your '10 weighs around 3700lbs.

LT1 for F-bodies (Camaro/Trans Am) was 93-97

LS1 was 98-02

Best engine would depend on what you want and are putting it in. The nice tree stump pulling torque of a big block or the efficiency and easily attainable power of the LS series. Carburated car, semi-computer controlled, computer controlled. There's many, many, many options.

i think its all about what look you like. 5th gen camaro has the motor. but its not reasonable to put one in a 4th gen.
