Default Stripped brake caliper bolt

OK. So I under took a big, for me, project this evening.

I needed to replace my rear shocks and springs and also my front pads.

So while the rear shocks/springs didn't go as smooth as planned it did get done. So the on to the front brakes. I've done then a few times before so I knew what I was doing with that. My driver side caliper bolts came right of and the brake job on that side was a piece of cake. So at this point I'm excited, Only one more thing left to do. I take the tire, was also rotating them for this project, and get to loosening the caliper bolt. But for some reason my torx bits just keeps popping out. I finally get back up underneath and take a look at it and it is just bend to heck. So I but back on the tire and call it a night.

Now am I screwed on this and am going to need to replace the whole caliper and bleed the brakes? OR is there a way to save this? While I know the caliper and pins are not a ridiculous amount of money I'm hoping not to have to go down that road.

Also I need the car to run some errands tomorrow, how bad will it be to drive with the old brake pads still on there? The driving will be less than 20 miles.

Not sure if it'll mater much but forgot to mention it is a 97.
TIA

Dave

Don't know exactly what you are referring to but my best bet is on removing the entire thing putting it on a bench to get a beyter grip

I can't remove it. It is still on the car. The bolts will not come out of the caliper.

you may be able to get a meteric wrench to fit tighter. are they allen or torx bolts? sometimes a guy can mix them up and using the wrong wrench will sometimes damage the head.
