Years ago, camarosource was both the first place to try and tell me these interiors were aftermarket ( 
), and also the first to have a member able to help figure out the low production numbers after I convinced them it was factory.
You can find a slightly similar aftermarket version at HawksThirdGen. I bought 6 yards of the red last summer off an upholstery supplier who buys out-of-production fabrics from the auto-makers.

Yes, it's a rare interior combination... as far as 4th-gens go. I have the same interior in my '96, and after lengthy research it seems that less than 1600 Camaros were so optioned in each respective year up to '97. That's still not a real low number as far as true rarity goes, but it is a limited number when you compare it to total 4th-gen production.

Sadly, with the poor record keeping of GM America, one will never know. I think Canadian models were kept track of, though, so it's possible to obtain production numbers for those sold north of the border.
