on my 1995 z28 the speedometer all of a sudden is all messed up. when the car is off or at idle it at like neg 10 mph. when i start driving it slowley climbs up to speed but still off by sometimes more then 40mph. Any sugestions on how to fix this???

Sounds like a electrical problem!
Start by cheking the connector on the gearbox.
