Default SLP throttle body

I have a 94 LT1 car

my buddy had i think a 96 Z28 with SLP all over the engine.
He replaced the factory throttle body with a BBK or something.
He gave me the SLP TB
My question is,,,,, would the TB with SLP on it be any better performance wise than the factory TB i have on my 94 ?
any info would be great

No not really, the bore is the same only the SLP one has a plate on the top that says SLP. Putting a larger TB on a stock engine will not do much but give more air sooner... It will feel like you have more power but at WOT you only suck in what the engine can use so having a TB that is too big will not help, it can acutally hurt performance in extreme cases by lowering intake velocity and intake vacuum.

Unless you have built your engine up some I would stick with the OEM TB.
