vats/anti theft will not allow the starter to engage. i would get some new plugs and a fuel filter. if you just got it go through all the fluids and change em. look the brakes over change fuel filter, spark plugs, maybe have the injectors cleaned and flow tested.

 

Yeah, it would shut the fuel pump down. Check the spark in the morning when it's doing this, and let us know the results.

Edit: Like craby said, it "should" shut the starter down also, but i have heard not always( could be just hear say). Mine shuts down both when my buddy tried his camaro key in it.

 

i have weak spark the spark is red not blue in color is this normal for these??? if not what could cause this

 

old plug wires, weak coil, weak voltage to coil, opti. i would start with new plug wires and plugs.

 

ok thank you i will also change the coil while im there as i have a good used one laying in the garage
