Default Won't start, turning over slow......HELP!!!!!!

87 IROC 305 TPI, turns over slow, won't start. Just bought a new battery yesterday and car acts like the battery is low. Checked it and it is at full charge. Car has not ran in about a year or so just sitting. Any help with what I need to check would be great. Thanks!

moved your thread to the third generation general section for you, you had it in the 4th gen. could be the cylinder walls have a light coating of corrosion that is slowing things down or could be the starter is not happy from setting and is thinking about failing. corrosion can form on starters contacts and such with can weaken its performance.

If your battery cable(s) aren't broken up or falling apart, you don't need to buy any.

and on the flip side, if the cable to the starter is bad, then that should be the first thing replaced.

Assumptions that one makes before throwing away an appliance is that the electricity is working in the home

Going to take the cables off and get a new ones today since I have the day off. Had a 88' Suburban that started up and then went dead a second later because of that starter battery cable. The cables do not look that good at the battery, old and grey. I'm betting it looks worse down at the starter. Cleaned up the motor bay yesterday so I could see things better and work with out the spider webs, dirt and grime in my way.
