NADA and KBB are not close and should not be used. Fair market value changes from area to area and you need to see what people in your area are willing to pay for a car with similar options to yours. THis is the price you need to settle on, not the NADA or KBB. The insurance Co. will try to tell you that is how they determine value so they can get you to agree to a lower amount than your market has to offer. DONT let them snow you.

My insurance was trying to give me only $5000 for my 2002 Durango when it was totaled. I owed about 11K and the market value was about 10-11K in my area. I had to fight them but they eventually settled on 10K plus T+L minus deductable. All and all I still had about 1K to pay but that sure beats the 6K I would have paid if I settled on the first offer.

Oh and a yard paid almost $4500 for the truck at auction, and there was no usable body panels and some of the interior was also damaged. I can bet the yard that ended up with the truck still made a profit.

so ive looked around the area (100 miles) and all i could find were zs (4 of them) with alot less miles between 30 and 75k) for like 8-10k thats on autotrader i also checked around some local dealerships and could only find 1 camaro a 98 3800 with 82k miles 5 speed for 9999$ now i really need to make like 7k off this car to make myself about 2k to get another car (the deductible is 1k) i called a lawyer and he told me that med bills will help to boost my profits but because i thought i just had liability and no health insurance that going to the hospital would be a bad idea being the accident happened on the 20th would it make any sence to go to the hospital now i am still in pain my chest is majorly messed up (cant laugh cough sneeze move very well) and my tailbone is killing me i cant sit for anything longer than like 5 min without intense pain i also broke my right ring finger when i crashed (i think i punched my stereo) or because of it being 13 days later are they going to not pay for that

 

Wow! If you are hurting like that, you need to get somewhere and get checked out. Insurance paying or not. You have to long to live to live jacked up like that.

 

well my body is already jacked my back is destroyed knees are shot im 22 and feel like in 45 lol (6 years of highschool football) but i already owe a hospital in ny 1500$ for when i broke my hand last january and cant really afford to go with out insurance yes i understand that my body is more important than money but i was checked out by the emt at the crash and he told me nothing was broken just very badly bruised i really just want some drugs so i can sleep at night and be able to sit down my legs are very tired... yes i stand all the time now its much better than the literal pain in the *** but now my knees are killing me

 

There should be no time limit on when you can see a Dr. about the accident. If the Dr. determines that it is from the accident it should be covered. I dont know if your state has some funky anti hospital insurance BS on the books. They may just be trying to hose you, ask the lawyer you talked to he should know. Yes they should be able to find you a reasonable car for about 7K that is what most V6 verts are going for in my area. Z verts are about 1-2K more.

6 years of high school????? Take the little bus to school did we? From what your saying you've got some lower back issues, just had similar problems, had to have surgery. Go see a pain management specialist 1st, see wht they have to say, worth the time and $$. I should have gone to them 1st, put up with what your going through for 9 months, couldn't sit for any lenght of time either. By the way what is a "vert"?
