Default Quick Release Steering Wheel

As some may know, I have a white 98 3800.

My Buddy has a Scion xB with a freshly installed quick release steering wheel.
I think its very neat (although not really necessary for me) So now I want one.
Only thing is, I do not want some ugly ricey aftermarket wheel like he has.
How hard do ya'll think it would be to retro-fit it to fit in the stock steering wheel of my Maro?

Has anyone done this in a 4th gen?
Thanks, and I look forward to any information.

Assuming you have an air bag (like you should...) it seems like a task at hand trying to unhook that wire and rehook and blah blah on top of that...you ever taken your steering wheel off? It is the bulkiest and heaviest steering wheels ever! So without a small ricer..it might be more pain than it is worth!

yeah, i have had my steering wheel off alot of times, but 78 was pre airbags and there isnt a single wire in the wheel itself, its just a metal conector for the horn, i can have mine off in a few min, but if u arnt careful and dont disconnect ur battery then u have an air bag explosion on ur hands lol not to mention the big loss in safety
