I think I will. The circuit breakers are good.

Default Update:

My glass guy is on vacation and next week is a week long cruise and car show on Saturday. My Chevelle will go to the show but I like cruising in my Camaro with the top down. I decided to fix it myself. I used this guide Power Window Motor and it really made the job simple. It took me a few hours of taking my time but I got it done and I also cleaned and greased the window tracks and rollers. I tested it before I put the interior panel back on and it worked great. I buttoned everything up and it works just fine. I recommend anyone needing to fix this problem to follow the guide I did. I saved myself $60.00 and learned something.

If I end up having to replace the motor I will have him do it for me. I don't bend like I used to although I may go ahead and pull the door panel and see if I can do it.
Wow 60$ is amazing!!! My shop quoted me 400 freaking dollars for both and that's just the labor!!!

Sorry I forgot to post an update. I ended up doing it myself. It was rather easy. I found a step by step guide online and followed it. Just took the laptop out to the garage with me and it took me about an hour taking my time. Sorry for not letting you know. I forgot till this last reply.

Good for you and thanks for the follow-up. Does it work a lot better? I had my door removed while doing some crack repair and decided to install that new motor I had in the garage. Darned if it isn't slower now

yes it should only take a good mech about a hour per window at 50,00 to 60 per hour your shop is soaking you man i would call them an say so your telling me near a day for 2 windows labor alone ,most thing i buy the parts then pay a guy to do .these the average guy can do in about 2 hours folllowing directions like above.480.00 is whole day from a mech though they ussally jump from one job to another an take few days both windows if you buy the regulator motor about 200.00 120,00 labor an 40 each for the parts ,an if you do just the motor there like 20.00 each, you need to find a new mech ,
