there is always the chance that it is nothing. but as gorn said, the OBDII light is pretty much just emissions stuff. lots of things can go wrong that dont trip the light. let us know what they say and DONT LET THEM DO ANY WORK UNTIL THEY HAVE TOLD YOU WHAT IS WRONG AND CHECKED W YOU FIRST!!!!!

too many mechanics will go ahead and fix something little and charge a ton before asking if u want it done. I diagnostic visit is ONLY DIAGNOSTIC!!!!! ive been burned here before. if they do the work thank them for the free service, because u didnt authorize the work before they did it. u went for diagnostics.

Light bulbs eventually burn out if left on long enough, but the problem remains.

explain a rebuild kit? orrrr?
if its the rebuild kit thing then o can look on summit they sell kits with pistons rings all the bearings oil pump gaskets and some other things and there about 500 but u still need certain things from the machine shop

but i cannot rebuild trany my self lol... i dont know how? thats why i am taking it to ammco on moday morning at 8am and they will try to tell me how much it will cost by the end of the day... so i will post it here so you guys can help me out and tell me if i am been ripped of or not!
