Auto Trany Question
Auto Trany!
IF i am in the 4th gear and i go into neutral can i go back to D? will it automatically go to 4th gear?
How about if i am in 3rd gear, go into neutral, slow down to 10mpg can i go back to D? will it automatically go to Gear 1?
If i do this will it brake the trany? and yes its automatic.

If you're on OD, and moving fast enough that you'll be in the fourth gear/overdrive, putting it into neutral then back into OD won't hurt it. But, there's really no reason to. If you're in D, or 3rd, pop it into neutral, and slow to 10, you can put it into any of the positions, since that's moving slow enough to where it would downshift itself into 1st as it is. But, again, there's not reason to.
Put it in OD, and leave it there. It'll do it's job better than you could ever hope to.

^ exactly what I was thinking. :P
He should also be careful to not do a moving neutral drop. Meaning DO NOT put it back into OD while the rpms are above idle. If you're doing 55 or whatever, rev it to 5 grand, wait for them to drop all the way back down before putting it in OD. Trust me. Neutral drop = big no no.
