the 3.4 is a different system, uses crank and cam sensor and plugs spark comes directly from the coil. v8 has the optispark distributor with a single coil and does use a prom similar to the 92. 3.4 does not use the old style prom. ecm is like the 94 3.4.

 

Thanks a lot. Really appreciate it. Have another problem as well, my tachometer is not functioning at all. The speedometer were acting weird also, kind of "added" the speed up after about 45 mph, said I was doing 95 mph when doing around 50 mph. Any ideas about troubleshooting?

 

i would suspect the gauges circuit board then look at wire connections to the gauges, speedo could be the sensor.
