Default Problems with the Alternator

Hey guys, so I have a 2001 Z28 and I've been having problems with the alternator. I've already changed it once this year, and now it's giving me problems again. Do you guys have any suggestions?

if any connections are loose this will cause the alternator to short out
where are you getting them from?
I once bought 3 starters in a week before I finally told the store to test the last one to make sure it is good

Defective aftermarket parts are common. A bad battery or an overnight power draw can reduce the life of an alternator but it would still last one year.

ahhh, to tell you the truth I have a mechanic who actually gets rebuilt alternators. I'm starting to think that's one of the problems but the second problem can also be that the owner before me (my uncle) actually changed the alternator himself and he might've messed something up down there. I'm gonna have a talk with my mechanic to see what he thinks. Thank you tho
