Default Plasti-dipped my clear-coat peeling hood(frontend partly)Before & After results(pics)

Was looking for a cheap temp fix for my ugly paint since I got the car. It isn't perfect but looks better than the clearcoat peeling ugliness.

Plastidip seems pretty tough, even resists my pressure washer. Just using it as a temporary coat to prevent further damage.

Some overspray on the lights, and camaro emblem, but its plastidip, gonna scrub or peel it off.

After:

Side Before:

After:

Used 2 cans flat red plastidip and it blended alright with the rest of the color of my car. Used some on the side fenders and the front bumper cover where it was messed up too.

Had lots of streak marks from sloppy spraying techniques, I tried to pressure wash it off, but it just blended the streak marks and ended up making it look a little better. Just need some glossy plastidip to coat it with and it will look alright.

have 3 cans of black, was going to black out the wheels, maybe paint some stripes on the hood too lol...

Since you don't seem to care about the factory paint I saw this the other day
How to paint your car with Rustoleum. The right way. - YouTube!
A simple tut on painting your car with Rustoleum, costs less than $100 to do and you must do it right for it to look decent. I have seen some good results that people have achieved using that technique.

this costed me $10 and isn't permanent. I'll go get the cheap $450 paint and clearcoat at my local bodyshop(not maaco) in about a month.

For a temp job I think I hid the clearcoat peeling well enough. At 10ft+ you can't really tell.

Besides people, the dang stuff isn't real paint, it peels right off.

yea you should look up some youtube videos of plastidip. Some people paint their entire car and peel it right off after. Its just like that spray electric tape.

Yeah I just like to hear cheap alternatives myself. My car has the Mystic Teal Metallic otherwise I would paint it with Rustoleum any day lol. I want to get the same paint even though it won't be factory it is still cool paint . It is a shame that past owners let that paint get so bad on my car.

I plastidipped my body kit because it was in really bad shape. Turned out good.
