Post Passenger Axle Seal keeps failing

My passenger side Axle Seal keeps failing on my RS -- this is the 3rd time getting it fixed -- anyone else know what the deal is on this repeat failure point which leaks fluid?

This time Chevrolet replaced the Axle Shaft, Bearing and Seal (extended warranty) -- they claim the right rear axle was damaged, or they just like to soak the ext. warranty company... Maybe they found the root cause -- finally?!

The only thing I have ever found to cause repeated failures like you are having is a bent or damaged axle shaft. I would say GM is going about getting it fixed the right way for you.

You could have had a wear ridge on the old axle. A new seal holding well, hitting in the same place, will only last so long (or short) if that was the case.
