Exclamation Oil Pump Idle Gear Leaking!

Ok so i have the motor running for about 5mins(mid temp) and I begin to get a leak on the back end of the motor, So I have changed the sealant on the Lower Intake Manifold about three times now, and still have this leak. Now the motor is in the car and I have the Upper Intake Manifold off, Trying to get the Idle Gear out to put a new ring on it, but can't seem to get it to brak loose...... Please help!

take the hold down bolt out and grab it with some channel locks without harming it twist it a few time and pull up as twisting. could get a small pry bar and help it a little. dont get carried away.

Ok so I removed the idle gear, replaced the ring and used some rtv to ensure a seal, I replace my manifold and started the car, but yet it still seems to leak...... Any ideas?

i have heard that a old style distributor gasket helps. rvt on each side. are you sure its not coming from the oil pressure switch? or is it back there on the 3.4.

I am almost certain that its the idle gear, 3.4l's have the pressure switch located on the oil filter adapter. I have re-done all the gaskets and seals. The oil is dripping from the pass side of the motor exactly where the idle gear is, so i gess i will try a distributor gasket this time to see if it help.

This: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/fel-70194

Just remove the oil pump drive idler and place the gasket under it and put it back in and tighten it.

Is there a write up on fixing oil pump drive gear o-ring with pictures? I believe mine is leaking pretty good. I thought it was the lower intake gasket, but it still leaks after I replaced the gaskets. So now I am thinking I need to replace this o-ring,
