Default Oil change question

Hey I just kept my 01 camaro in the garage for a couple months for the winter and had an oil change back in November. Now that I just started to driving it again the oil change light goes on for only about 30 sec when I start the car then goes away after a while. I checked the oil and it seems fine. Any suggestions or should I just do an oil change?

The oil change light or the low oil light?

The computer Knows that it has been "x" amount of days since it was changed. I guess its just suggesting to change it?

If you haven't been driving it I see no need to change it. I would wait for it to come on again and Reset the light

Yeah, just do whatever "reset" you have to do to make the car think you just changed the oil as long as it looks good.

You may not have reset the oil change light when you last changed the oil, especially if the light wasn't on at the time.
The oil life monitor has no idea how many miles there are since the last oil change, if you don't reset the light after a change, whether or not the light is on.

You should keep track of your oil changes manually too. Write down the miles after you change it then once you go 3000 miles change it again. You shouldn't Rely on the light.
