Default tail lights

Took my car by Tuesday for a "check up" and he got on me about a hole in my tail light. I've seen a couple online and OH EM GEE. Why so expensive?? I did a used parts search online and got a quote for $200!. I was wanting to replace both so that one wouldn't be brighter etc from the other. May even go with the blacked out kind but from where?

Ever heard of ebay?? Here is one of about 58 gazillion on there.....

1993 2002 Chevy Camaro altezza Style Tail Lights Black Housing Smoke Lens Pair | eBay

Other options are someone parting out a car on craigslist, pull-a-parts, etc. I got a spare set for mine to throw on for inspections from a local pull a part for $20/pair.

Ha ha. I have spent a lot of time and money on ebay this week. I figured with something like that, it was better to go with somewhere else. Those look legit though lol For what it's worth, I did a brief search the other day and they were expensive.

I was thinking about getting some of those "altezza" style, but I decided I like the look of the stockers better (I thought those were kinda ricer looking, imo, not hating). So I just smoked the ones on the car and got that other set from the junk yard for inspections because the smoked ones will cause it to fail.

I'll have to see if I can find a pic of the other car we had with them. I'd like to have the kind that was on it.

We did away with inspections here ages ago

Probably could see them better if they were on.

Those just look like smoked oem lights. Yep, we have yearly safety inspections for cars 96 and older. Safety and emissions for 96 and newer cars.

That car was the one that was totaled from behind but the lights weren't that dark at all.
