Have you tried powering the pump separately from the cars systems?

Ok. I think (and hope) I have found what I was doing wrong. Please confirm my thoughts or tell me where I'm wrong. Thanks

I thought the black electrical connector on the right was the fuel pump and the white one on the left was the fuel level sensor.
The black connector on the right has a grey wire with black stripe that I thought was supposed to get 12v with key on. It gets 5v and I thought that was a problem.

The white one on the left has an all grey wire that I just found today has 12v with key on.

Pump still doesn't work but if I'm right, everything is working as it should, I just need to replace the pump.

Right or wrong? Please tell me what you can.

Cant confirm 100%. But its probably the case. You could just pop the sending unit out and follow the wires down to confirm for sure.
