honestly you have a long time to wait before 4th gens value start to appriciate... the 3rd gens are actually just starting to but they have to be pretty nice.
the 30th ani SS with that stripeing patern....was low production thusly will appreciate muuuuch faster.

It would have to be in 100% stock mintcondition with under 100k on the clock. Anything other than that its just another Camaro. Right now a 1997 SS with all the options a6spd and50,000 miles is under $10,000. Thats roughly under 5000 miles a year. Its not bad but they cant keep that well. They get more miles andthe pricegoes down.

I already removed the 2 fender badge's. I thought they looked cheap, colors looked odd. So they are gone, looks much cleaner now.

I think next thing to do/buy is some clear light covers. Also probably fuel filter, plugs, and wires. Im hoping to not get 12mpg on this tank

Well i wasnt driving it nice at all.Alot of WOT runs with the car since i just got it and am excited to use the power. I probably could of got 15, but i didnt want to play chicken with the fuel guage lol. Ive been driving this tank super nice so far, so we shall see what kind of difference it makes,.

EDIT:

Plugs, wires, fuel filter, cap, rotor, and maybe even 02 sensors for a tuneup?

I am unable to find a 97 SS with the stripes for less than 10k, where did you find one?, Even with "mint" condition it is still just another white camaro by that logic, I would think and I do see higher prices for true 30th's (Stripes/Leather/Around 4200 made) So I would have to agree with bignic

You wont find any on craigslist everyone prices their cars to what they think its worth. Im going by Kelly Blue Book (which tells you the actual value of the car..)

Not just craigslist, anyplace... How much does kbb say a 68 camaro is worth?, how much for a SS Chevelle?, Point being that not all cars fit the mold of being "priced" by kbb, Demand and small numbers will always make that item worth more irregardless of how small the diffrence in the item. I am not saying that the 30th fits that mold, but it was a package that was made in small numbers.

Man that Berger Auto 4th gen must be pretty cheap!

Or maybe I can get an LT4 for the same price as an LT1?

The problem with using KBB to evaluate the value of a 30th Special Edition is KBB does not have the special edition package listed as an option because it's such a limited number car. I agree with Nic on this one as well, if you have a 30th Anniversary Special Edition Z28/SS it's going to go up in value pretty quickly.
